Kilauea Rottweilers

He is a calm and self-confident dog, who has an inherent desire to protect home and family. He
is not shy nor excitable. He is an intelligent and highly trainable dog. He is also very much a
companion, often following their family member from room to room. Because of his size and
strength, it is imperative that he receive proper socialization and obedience training from an
early age.

There is one thing that he is not; he is not a dog to be kept in captivity or on a chain. If this is
done all the time, his charactor will be ruined. The more he can be in the company of people,
the more intimate the family relationship and the more firmly does he attach himself to his
family.

A Rottweiler, properly bred and raised, is an exceptional family member, but research is a must
before making a decade long commitment.
